Client Experiences
Rozaini binti Mahmud
Petaling Jaya, Selangor
"My mother had been putting off the wasiyyah for years. After my father passed, we saw first-hand how difficult the estate process could be without proper documentation. Quorvus walked us through everything — the faraid calculations, the council registration, all of it. The advisor was patient and thorough."

Zulkifli bin Hamzah

"We used Quorvus for the documentation on a murabahah facility. The turnaround was reasonable, and importantly, the closing memorandum was actually useful — not just a formality. The practitioner understood the structure and could explain the obligations clearly to both parties."

Faridah bt Ibrahim
Putrajaya, Federal Territory
"We enrolled in the Comprehensive Programme last year. Having scheduled touchpoints rather than scrambling for advice ad hoc has made a real difference. The annual review letter in January was comprehensive — it flagged a few things we had not thought to revisit."
April 2025 · Family & Commercial Programme
Amir Shah bin Othman
Cyberjaya, Selangor
"I had a civil will from my lawyer but had not addressed the Shariah side. Quorvus explained clearly how the two documents interact — something I had never properly understood before. The engagement was direct and the fee was as quoted, with no surprises."
March 2025 · Will & Faraid Advisory
Noorhidayah bt Kamaruddin
Shah Alam, Selangor
"Our family has property in three states. The hibah and waqf structuring involved coordination across different councils. The Quorvus team managed all of that — we did not have to chase anyone. The documentation at the end was clear and complete."
January 2025 · Family & Commercial Programme
Hairul bin Bakar
Kuala Lumpur
"We engaged Quorvus for documentation on an ijarah structure. They worked alongside our legal team without friction. One or two points in our initial structure needed adjustment to sit properly within the Shariah framework — they caught those early and explained the reasoning clearly."

Three Engagement Journeys in Detail
Estate Advisory · Kuala Lumpur
A Family with Assets in Two States and No Wasiyyah in Place
The Situation
The client was a retired professional with property in Selangor and Pahang, several bank accounts, and a Takaful policy. His children were adults but he had no wasiyyah and was uncertain how faraid would apply. He had been told by a well-meaning relative that a civil will would be sufficient.
What Quorvus Did
The engagement began with a full review of the asset picture. The practitioner explained clearly how faraid would distribute the estate and where the wasiyyah could operate — covering the one-third that was within the client's discretion. Nominations on the Takaful policy were reviewed. A wasiyyah was prepared and registered with the relevant council.
The Outcome
The client received a properly registered wasiyyah, a written summary for his family, and a clear picture of how his estate would be handled. The civil will question was also resolved — the practitioner confirmed it was valid for the assets outside faraid scope but needed minor adjustment, and referred the client to a civil solicitor for that part.
"I came in thinking I just needed a document. I left understanding my own estate properly for the first time."
Finance Documentation · Kuala Lumpur
A Sukuk Issuance with Shariah Compliance Concerns Identified Late
The Situation
A mid-sized institution was preparing a sukuk issuance under an ijarah structure. The documentation had been drafted by the conventional legal team. When the Shariah committee reviewed it, several points were raised about the asset ownership representation and the lease terms. The closing date was at risk.
What Quorvus Did
Quorvus was brought in to review the documentation against the Shariah committee's concerns and to propose the specific amendments required. The team worked directly with both the conventional solicitors and the Shariah committee to resolve each point, and drafted the revised sections of the principal documents.
The Outcome
The Shariah committee's concerns were resolved within the revised timeline. The issuance closed with an amended set of documents and a closing memorandum that clearly flagged the operational obligations for the institution's treasury and compliance teams going forward.
"We needed someone who could work at the intersection of the legal and Shariah frameworks without creating friction between the teams. That is exactly what happened."
Family Programme · Putrajaya
A Family Office Seeking Ongoing Shariah Advisory Across Multiple Matters
The Situation
A Putrajaya-based family with business interests and significant property holdings had been managing their Shariah-related matters through ad-hoc consultations with different advisors. They found this unsatisfactory — matters were attended to reactively and no one held the full picture.
What Quorvus Did
The family enrolled in the Comprehensive Programme. The first engagement involved a thorough review of existing arrangements — wasiyyah, hibah, business structure, and takaful nominations. Gaps and inconsistencies were documented. Subsequent touchpoints addressed each matter in a structured sequence over the following months.
The Outcome
Within the first year, the family's Shariah-related arrangements were properly documented and consistent with one another. The waqf structure they had been considering for charitable purposes was finalised and registered. The annual review letter provided a consolidated record the family could share with their legal advisors.
"For the first time, someone is actually following the thread across all of our Shariah-related matters. The annual review alone has been worth the engagement."
